Some of my notable highlighted professional achievements at Birmingham City School include, but are not limited to: I successfully implemented a PBIS Program that was recognized by the district for the years that I served as the lead facilitator science students scored at or above district proficiency on the science summative assessment, which was 57% or higher coached teachers on best practices to reduce referrals to the Problem-Solving Team , reduced chronic absenteeism by 7% or more on the state report card for three consecutive years oversaw the Brain Forest Project Based Learning Program as the Instructional Director for three years where students grew an average of 3-4 months in the summer according to STAR Data and created partnerships with businesses to help support students, professional development, and extracurricular activities. Most recently, I received my doctorate in educational leadership and urban education and am ready to take on a larger role as principal in meeting the variety of needs of children at Bush Hills Steam Academy. ![]() I am an accomplished 17-year veteran educator with a history of using data and research-based instructional techniques to drive student achievement.
